That’s Me

Born and raised in Kentucky,  I married my high school sweetheart, Sean, on September 13th 2008.   I gave birth to my son, Alexander (Xander for short) on March 27th, 2014.  He is an adorable, happy boy and I could not be luckier.  My family is very important to me, and I owe my husband more than I can ever repay him. He has given up quite a bit to help me finish my degrees, and hopefully one day I can return the favor.  He is also the best father I could ever have hoped for our son, and I look forward to our future together.

We are currently planning our 10 year vow renewal for next year, 2018, and am I very much looking forward to that. The theme is “Vintage Nerd.”  See my pinterest board for my ideas!

I graduated high school in 2008, then from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelors of Arts in English (Literature), and a Bachelors of Arts in History in 2013.  I then returned to get my Masters of Arts in Education – Student Affairs and graduated August 2015. I am currently getting a second Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership and will graduate in August 2018 with it. Then I plan on pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.  I want to work at a college helping students achieve their dreams.  I love school.  Could you tell?

I spent 2015 – 2016 as a Kentucky College Coach at Edmonson County High School through an Americorps program. I tutor on the side (currently only one student in computers). I am the Organizational Leadership advisor at Western Kentucky University, and work with both undergraduate and graduate students.  I am also teaching University Experience.

I am a writer. I say this with all sincerity in the hopes that I shall start writing more. I am currently writing a novel called “We Witches Three.”

I am a woman with many titles: Wife, Mother, Tutor, Writer, Daughter, Sister, Employee, Coach, Friend, Etc.
