That’s Me

Born and raised in Kentucky,  I married my high school sweetheart, Sean.   I gave birth to my son Xander in 2014, and he is awesome.

I graduated high school, then graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in English (Literature), and a Bachelors of Arts in History.  I then returned to get my Masters of Arts in Education – Student Affairs. I also have a second Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership.

I spent 2015 – 2016 as a Kentucky College Coach through an Americorps program.  I was the Organizational Leadership advisor for undergraduate and graduate students, then advised freshmen and sophomores for business students. I was an adjunct for University Experience. I am now teaching First Year Experience (FYE) full time our community college, and am an adjunct teaching Organizational Leadership. I love my job and my career.

I finished my first novel in early 2020, and put it on hold to finish another that meant a lot to me. I wound up completely restarting it from scratch for NaNo 2020, and then finished it April 30th 2021. I am now launching into edits during this summer for both of these novels, and hope to be querying by the end of the year (who knows!) and have a middle grades project in the planning stages with my mom to begin for NaNo 2021 (Maybe before)!

I attend many writing conferences and events through the Writer’s Sanctuary which is run by CJ Redwine and Mary Weber! They are great events, where I have met and created a wonderful writing tribe and learned a lot.  If you wish to learn more about those, see here: https://the-writers-sanctuary.com/

I write book reviews for Bowling Green Daily News. You can see a continually updated list on my blog of all my published book reviews, and there is a form to contact me if you are interested in having me review your book!
