Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
I like to read on one corner of the couch or in my bed. Generally covered up. Lately it just depends on my son is doing. I’ve read sitting in the bathroom while he plays in the bathtub, and sitting outside on the porch, and many more places. I’ve also been listening to audio books as I clean, and he plays.
Bookmark or random piece of paper?
I prefer bookmarks. Lately I just tend to remember the page number I’m on.
Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/ a certain amount of pages?
I really want to be on a chapter. It bothers me otherwise.
Do you eat or drink while reading?
I do. I tend to save things I’m hiding from Xander to eat while reading, hiding in my room…
Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?
Music yes. TV usually no, unless its something for Xander.
One book at a time or several at once?
I used to refuse to read more than one book at once, but then being an English/History double major happened and I did it occasionally (or I would binge read back to back and finish books early). Now I have books I’m reading for a review, and for book club, and this or that, so I tend to read two at once – or listen to one and be reading one.
Reading at home or everywhere?
Everywhere! I keep a book with me most of the time, though that is much harder now as I’m usually have to keep track of a two year old.
Reading out loud or silently in your head?
Do you read ahead or even skip pages?
Okay… sometimes I read the end…
Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?
LIKE NEW, until, you know… here is no point
Do you write in your books?
No. I did write in Dante, because it made life much easier in that class and there are so many things to remember.
That was fun! Nick, you should do it on Facebook. I may get my book club to do it. Monica Spees, your turn 🙂
